This position is located in the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
About the Role- The Project Coordinator will provide expert advice and support to execute activities related to ongoing and new initiatives.
- Under the overall supervision of the National Officer for Brazil, the Project Coordinator will work closely with operational and technical teams, staff of other UN Agencies, government officials, media, multilateral and bilateral partners, and civil society organizations.
- Provide leadership support and coordinate project implementation, including development, approval, and execution of activities.
- Maintain close communication with counterparts and local partners, such as governments, civil society organizations, universities, and the private sector.
- Perform technical, administrative, and management tasks to ensure projects meet deadlines, objectives, and quality standards.
- Support capacity building and development, data collection and management, public policies, strategic planning, monitoring, and implementation.
- Document successful practices and experiences with other offices in the region and headquarters divisions.
