Research Administrator Role

The key role of the Research Administrator involves providing vital support to the university's research growth and compliance infrastructure.

This position is responsible for overseeing the timely, accurate, and compliant submission of sponsored research proposals on behalf of the university.

The successful candidate will be accountable for managing institutional proposal submissions, ensuring that all required internal approvals, documentation, and certifications are secured prior to submission.

  • Manage Institutional Proposal Submissions
  • Oversee the end-to-end administrative and compliance review of proposals submitted through Cayuse
  • Ensure Timely Submission to External Sponsors
  • Interpret and Apply Sponsor Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal regulations governing sponsored research, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), sponsor-specific requirements, and institutional policies related to proposal review, submission, and certification.

Demonstrated knowledge of electronic research administration systems, such as Cayuse, Grants.gov, eRA Commons, and Research.gov, is also essential.

The incumbent will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure seamless proposal submission processes and exceptional customer service.
