About the Role:

As the head of property, you will lead and transform our facultative business in Brazil, one of Latin America's most dynamic markets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic approach to property underwriting for Brazil and South Cone markets.
  • Drive profitable business origination while maintaining underwriting quality and preserving portfolio value.
  • Design innovative solutions to meet client needs and promote product development.
  • Implement sales and underwriting initiatives to position Swiss Re in Brazil and South Cone markets.
  • Supervise and steer the property facultative portfolio in Brazil and South Cone.
  • Lead and empower the local team, promoting professional growth.
  • Collaborate across business units and functions to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
About You:

We seek a seasoned leader with 7-10 years of experience in property and casualty reinsurance underwriting, including an excellent understanding of the Brazilian market. Key qualifications include:

  • An outstanding knowledge of the Brazilian insurance regulatory environment.
  • A track record as a successful sales leader and dealmaker in originating new business.
  • Strong management skills in developing people, being a motivational mentor who can unlock potential in others.
  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, additional languages appreciated.

Nice-to-have qualifications include experience in Latin American markets beyond Brazil, experience with innovative solutions, and ability to navigate global corporate environments.
