Development Officer

This role is responsible for planning and executing fundraising initiatives to support the organization's mission and goals.

Fundraising Strategy: Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive annual fundraising plan to meet the school's financial and development objectives.

Campaigns & Events: Organize and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives, such as capital campaigns, online giving drives, auction evenings, and alumni engagement events.

Donor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential and current donors, sponsors, and partners. Develop and implement donor recognition programs.

Research & Grants: Research, identify, and apply for grants and sponsorship opportunities that align with the organization's mission.

Alumni Engagement: Work with alumni to foster lifelong connections to the organization and encourage giving.

Marketing & Communications: Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling fundraising content, including newsletters, social media posts, and donor appeals.

Reporting & Data Management: Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, donor contributions, and financial reports. Provide regular updates on fundraising progress to leadership.

Budget Management: Track and manage expenses ensuring cost-effective planning and execution of events and initiatives.

Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • English fluency is essential for this position, as communication with international stakeholders will be a core part of the role.
  • Between 1 and 3 years of experience.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
