Job Description

The role of a senior audit manager involves leading a complex and critical unit within the internal audit function. This position will oversee technology audit activities for various markets, including equities, fixed income, FX, and commodities. The primary objective is to develop and execute a robust audit plan, directing complex audit activities at a regional or global level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of internal audit professionals, recruit staff, lead professional development, build effective teams, and manage resources.
  • Deliver high-quality technology audit reports, internal audit, and regulatory issue validation, as well as business monitoring and governance committee reports.
  • Lead technology reviews for all types of reviews, including complex ones, and review and approve business monitoring quarterly summaries.
  • Participate in major internal audit initiatives and proactively advise and assist the project management team.
  • Implement integrated auditing concepts and technology, following trends in the audit field and adapting them for the audit function.
  • Analyze report findings and recommend interventions where needed, proposing creative and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues.
  • Partner with directors and managing directors to develop approaches for addressing broader corporate emerging issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in a related role.
  • Markets business industry experience, including equities, fixed income, FX, and commodities.
  • Related certifications (CISA, CIA, or similar) are preferred.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in business, functional, and people management.
  • Proven ability to execute concurrently on a technology audit portfolio of high-quality deliverables according to strict timetables.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement and innovation in audit tools and techniques.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
