
Sales Business Development Manager

This role is responsible for analyzing local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.
About This Role- Analyzing local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads and opportunities.
- Prospecting new clients and developing customer accounts to drive business into the specific hotel/cluster and increase market/customer share in all revenue streams.
- Negotiating room rates/packages with corporate clients to maximize revenue.
- Developing and implementing creative local marketing channels, including social media platforms, to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
- Preparing company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions.
- Working within current business strategies and recognizing potential opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
- Cooperating with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs.
- Attending sales events as required to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Producing accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the sales director and senior management, including the reporting of appointments, calls made, and business leads.
- Responding to customer inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
- Managing staff performance in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Recruiting, managing, training, and developing the sales team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
