Job Title: Legal Counsel Indirect Procurement

We are seeking a seasoned legal expert to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to draft and negotiate procurement-related agreements for the Alstom Group. This includes Master Services Agreements, Framework Agreements, Services Agreements, Local Services Agreements, and Settlement Agreements.

Responsibilities
  1. Drafting and negotiating procurement-related agreements: You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that all agreements are fair, reasonable, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Advising on legal risks and issues: As a trusted advisor, you will provide guidance on legal risks and issues related to data privacy, GDPR, intellectual property, export control, and other areas.
  3. Contract review and negotiation: You will monitor and improve agile processes for contract development, review, and negotiation, ensuring that they meet the company's needs and goals.
  4. Legal support to procurement managers: You will provide support to procurement managers on claim management, dispute settlement, and other legal issues arising during contract execution.
  5. Reporting and risk identification: You will regularly report on quality and identify risks and opportunities, escalating them to management as needed.
  6. Interface with external law firms: You will work with external law firms to ensure that the company's interests are protected.
  7. Training and awareness sessions: You will facilitate training and awareness sessions on legal procurement topics and other legal areas.
Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer (Master degree): You must have a Master's degree in law and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience: You should have demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and compliance-related matters.
  • Business acumen: You must have a strong understanding of business principles and practices.
  • Cultural competence: You should be able to operate effectively in a multicultural environment and communicate complex ideas to non-legal people.
  • Language skills: You must be proficient in English and have knowledge of one or more additional languages.
