Job Overview

Matten Law is seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team as an Associate. This role requires a skilled attorney with extensive experience in immigration law, particularly in handling various petition types such as H1B, L1, E2, O1, PERM, EB1A, and AOS.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to learn technology tools quickly. They should be able to prioritize work effectively, communicate efficiently with team members, and ensure high-quality submissions that meet A+ standards.

The Associate position involves setting strategic goals, guiding clients, reviewing the work of Case Managers, and ensuring compliance with relevant legal standards. The selected candidate will also supervise, mentor, and review the work of Case Managers covering a wide range of visa categories.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for innovative companies
  • Review and ensure compliance with correct legal standards related to H1B, L1, E2, O1, PERM, EB1A, and AOS cases
  • Supervise, mentor, and review the work of Case Managers
  • Advising and guiding clients on electronic-posting processes and recruitment processes for PERM applications
  • Draft complex filings as needed
  • Ensure all submissions meet A+ quality standards
  • Communicate with clients to assess eligibility for business-related immigration benefits
  • Provide timely updates to clients and respond to inquiries
  • Research legal issues related to immigration benefits
Requirements:
  • JD or LLM degree and bar license from any US state
  • 2-5 years of relevant immigration attorney experience
  • Prior experience preparing and reviewing at least 3 of the following petition types: H1B, L1, E2, O1, PERM, EB1A, AOS
  • Preference for prior experience representing startups and emerging technology companies and/or individual creatives
  • Ability to learn technology tools quickly
