Job Summary

AML Investigator Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AML Investigator to join our Compliance Investigations Team.


Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this position is to conduct and adjudicate referrals of unusual activity made to the Compliance Team. The incumbent will investigate, within regulatory timelines, SAR submissions in applicable jurisdictions or close referrals as not suspicious, supported by articulated reasoned argument.

The incumbent will maintain and develop strong relationships and network amongst peers in the industry to learn and share best practices and investigative techniques.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting investigations assigned by the Manager Compliance to determine risk exposure to the organization.
  • Mitigating risks by SAR filing, recommendations for enhanced due diligence, and implementing internal controls.
  • Providing strong input into the design and delivery of investigative and AML training to other members of the organization.
  • Sharing knowledge gained from investigations by way of case studies/examples as required.
