Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead our data infrastructure team and build scalable, reliable, and high-quality data systems that empower our teams and drive business insights.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will design and implement ETL / ELT pipelines using Airflow, develop data models across the Medallion Architecture layers, and optimize SQL queries for large datasets in AWS Athena.

You will also collaborate with Product, Operations, and Analytics teams to define startup metrics and KPIs, ensure data quality, governance, and reproducibility across the data warehouse / lake, and establish best practices for data engineering and analytics.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Strong SQL expertise with experience tuning queries and designing efficient schemas.
  • Hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • Familiarity with AWS services, especially Athena, S3, and Glue.
  • Experience building analytics dashboards with Metabase or similar BI tools.
  • Understanding of Medallion Architecture and layered data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Python for data engineering and ETL tasks.
