Senior Leadership Position

This is an exceptional opportunity to serve as a senior leader in higher education, overseeing fundraising programs for key colleges and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully cultivating, soliciting, and closing significant gifts, as well as demonstrating strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities in a complex fundraising environment.

The role involves driving the strategic fundraising direction of key university priorities, including educational innovation, sponsored research, and corporate and non-profit partnerships. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and evaluating annual plans to maximize donor philanthropy and engagement initiatives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee fundraising programs for Lehigh's College of Health, College of Education, University Research Centers & Institutes, Vice Provost Initiatives, and corporate, foundation, and non-profit engagement.
  • Lead and partner with teams to engage and solicit prospects, maximizing philanthropy and meeting strategic objectives.
  • Drive the strategic fundraising direction of key university priorities, including educational innovation, sponsored research, and corporate and non-profit partnerships.
  • Develop, execute, and evaluate annual plans to maximize donor philanthropy, sponsored research, and other engagement initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship, foster professional development, and create a collaborative, creative, and ambitious team environment.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Eight or more years of related work experience.
  • Proven ability to successfully cultivate, solicit, and close significant gifts.
  • Proven leadership and strategic thinking abilities in a complex fundraising environment.
  • Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and developing long-term philanthropic partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.

Work Environment
  • Frequent travel.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
  • Responsibility for driving University-owned vehicles as a routine function, therefore a valid Driver's License and a good driving record is required.
