Lehigh University seeks a highly skilled and strategic Major Gift Development Director to cultivate meaningful relationships with potential and current major gift donors.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop key partnerships for the university with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations to secure financial support for institutional priorities.
- Securing a minimum of $1 million annually in philanthropic support for the university through relationship building and solicitation strategies targeting top prospects.
- Conduct thorough research on donor capacity, inclination, and passions to inform development strategies and stewardship plans.
- Identify, qualify, and cultivate new major gift-rated prospects in alignment with institutional fundraising priorities.
- Develop comprehensive solicitation strategies for assigned portfolios and execute persuasive presentations to secure significant gifts.
- Stay up-to-date on institutional goals, cases for support, and regional market trends to ensure optimal impact and success.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all fundraising activity in the development database of record.
