Chief Development Officer, Strategic Partnerships

This pivotal role will advance the university's mission of creating knowledge, fostering academic excellence, and developing leaders who can meet the challenges of our time.
- Oversee fundraising programs for Lehigh's College of Health, College of Education, University Research Centers & Institutes, Vice Provost Initiatives, and corporate, foundation, and non-profit engagement
- Lead and partner with teams to engage and solicit prospects, maximizing philanthropy and meeting strategic objectives
- Drive the strategic fundraising direction of key university priorities, including educational innovation, sponsored research, and corporate and non-profit partnerships
- Develop, execute, and evaluate annual plans to maximize donor philanthropy, sponsored research, and other engagement initiatives
- Provide mentorship, foster professional development, and create a collaborative, creative, and ambitious team environment
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's Degree preferred
- Eight or more years of related work experience
- Proven ability to successfully cultivate, solicit, and close six and seven-figure gifts
- Proven leadership and strategic thinking abilities in a complex fundraising environment
- Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and developing long-term philanthropic partnerships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align resources effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups
