Lead Fundraising Expert

We are seeking an experienced fundraising leader to join our team as a key member in advancing our university's mission.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully cultivating, soliciting, and closing six and seven figure gifts. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align resources effectively.

  • Oversee fundraising programs for the College of Health, College of Education, University Research Centers & Institutes, and Vice Provost Initiatives.
  • Develop, execute, and evaluate annual plans to maximize donor philanthropy, sponsored research, and other engagement initiatives.
  • Drive the strategic direction of key university priorities, including educational innovation, sponsored research, and corporate and non-profit partnerships.
  • Provide mentorship, foster professional development, and create a collaborative, creative, and ambitious team environment.

This is a pivotal role that requires a dynamic and experienced leader who can drive growth and success in fundraising.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, and eight or more years of related work experience. They will demonstrate a deep understanding of fundraising strategies, tactics, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to meet university goals and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to teams to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
  • Donor Engagement: Cultivate and solicit donors to secure major gifts and build strong relationships.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to advance university priorities and achieve shared goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Work Experience: Eight or more years of related work experience.
  • Fundraising Experience: Proven track record of successfully cultivating, soliciting, and closing six and seven figure gifts.
