Senior Underwriter Energy Property Job Opportunity

">About the Role:

This position involves underwriting energy accounts, managing broker and client relationships, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

  • Growing the business and maintaining strong client and broker relationships.
  • Analyzing coverage, exposures, wordings, premiums, and insurability of energy risks (oil & gas facilities, petrochemicals, pipelines, mines, power plants).
  • Developing strategic relationships with brokers and clients to ensure proper documentation and grow the business.
  • Coordinating cross-selling opportunities within Corporate Solutions.
  • Participating in special projects and contributing to team operations.
  • Ensuring thorough documentation and clear communication with clients and brokers.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in property energy underwriting, excellent analytical skills, and fluency in English.

  • Understand deeply the main exposures and the specificities inherent with each segment of property energy such as onshore, mining, and utilities, and use strong analytical skills to evaluate complex scenarios.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) is essential for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong insurance/reinsurance knowledge and negotiation skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to assist others, are crucial for building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to turn customer needs into deals, is ideal for this position.
