Energy Underwriter Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Energy Underwriter to expand our team in São Paulo, Brazil.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for business growth and development through strategic partnerships with clients and brokers. This includes analyzing coverage, exposures, premiums, and insurability of energy risks such as oil & gas facilities, petrochemicals, pipelines, mines, and power plants.
- Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective documentation and business expansion.
- Collaborating with the Corporate Solutions department to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Maintaining thorough documentation and clear communication with clients and brokers.
About You:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Property Energy Underwriting.
- Deep understanding of main exposures and specificities of each segment of property energy.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risks and make informed underwriting decisions.
- Fluent English language skills (written and spoken).
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of insurance/reinsurance principles and practices.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
