Job Opportunity for Accessibility ProfessionalSymplicity is seeking an individual to empower higher education institutions around the world to enable the best possible outcomes for students. We engineer, operate, and support a suite of software-as-a-service products that serve thousands of universities and millions of students worldwide.- Our solution helps employers hire students and new graduates.Responsibilities:- Provide technical support to Agile software development teams to implement modifications to digital products.- Work with colleagues to refine accessibility testing and reporting templates, protocols, and tools.- Contribute to research literature, practice guides, and instructional materials on accessibility and best practices.Qualifications:- A degree or certification in a relevant technical area is desired.- No less than 1 - 3 years of relevant experience with Information Technology, preferably Assistive Technology.- Knowledge of WCAG 2.x Principles, Guidelines, Success Criteria, and Sufficient Techniques.- Knowledge of Assistive Technology (AT), its performance, capability, baseline interoperability.- Experience with WCAG Compliance test scripts and reporting of test results.- Knowledge of Inspection/Testing tools. Able to demonstrate testing acumen to coordinate with AT Testers.- Knowledge of accessibility techniques in web development utilizing Semantic HTML, WAI-ARIA, JavaScript and CSS.- Soft skills, including effective Communication, teamwork, time management, willingness to learn, empathy, organization, analytical and critical thinking.- Strong written or verbal communication skills are the most significant requirement for this position.Symplicity empowers companies to find talent, Higher Ed bridge the skills gap and recent college graduates launch their careers.
