Job Description

The Human Resources Manager is accountable for overseeing the development and implementation of complex labor relations strategies. This role requires a comprehensive skill set that enables effective collaboration across multiple areas of the organization to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement organizational labor relations strategies to minimize negative impacts from individual employee grievances or collective labor disputes.
  • Liaise with management, employees, and their representatives at all levels to promote a productive and harmonious work environment.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with collective agreements, employment contracts, regulations, laws, and organizational policies and standards.
  • Analyze and interpret bargaining trends, issues, and regulatory changes to inform business decisions.
  • Represent management in negotiations and dispute resolution with employees, unions, employer bodies, government agencies, and other stakeholders to protect organizational interests.
  • Provide expert advice and consultancy services to key stakeholders on employee labor relations matters.
  • May lead and direct a team of professionals.
Required Skills and Qualifications

10+ years of experience in employment law, including consultancy, labor relations strategy implementation, collective bargaining, and union management.

Experience in litigation is an asset. Knowledge of financial institutions in Brazil is beneficial.

Education: Bachelor's/University degree; Master's degree preferred. Proficiency in English and Portuguese required; Spanish language skills are a plus.
