Job Overview:

The Field Service Technician role involves maintaining and repairing industrial equipment to ensure exceptional customer service through technical expertise and a strong sense of company pride.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness at all times.
  • Receive, disassemble, inspect, repair, fabricate, paint, package/prep various types of pumps and rotating equipment.
  • Safely load, unload, and move equipment as needed with crane or forklift.
  • Perform field service work, including occasional weekend work.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Some experience in pump and/or rotating equipment repairs and field service work is preferred.
  • Ability to read sectional and machine drawings; comprehend OEM manuals.
  • Disassembly, inspection, and evaluation of machine failure modes; ability to write detailed reports on necessary repairs and replacement parts.
  • Assembly, pneumatic pressure testing of assembled equipment, painting of finished repairs, and final inspection.
  • Field service work: removal and installation of equipment, shaft alignment, seal changes, and preventative maintenance.
  • Safe use of hand, power, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
  • Familiarity/some experience with manual lathes, milling machines, and other typical machine shop equipment.
  • Pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment experience.
  • Mechanical seals knowledge, skills, and experience are preferred.
  • Ability to properly use precision measuring equipment.
  • Safe use of lifting devices such as cranes, forklifts, and rigging.
  • Welding knowledge, skills, and experience are preferred.

This position requires physical stamina, as the technician must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. The work environment is open-air and involves field work.
