About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Director, Network Strategy. This role will be responsible for driving technology strategy around the future of Mastercard's global core payments network and the enablement of our Services strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define and Execute Network Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive network strategy that aligns with Mastercard's business objectives and drives growth in the Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) region.
  2. Lead Product Go-to-Market and Commercialization: Lead the definition and execution of product go-to-market and commercialization strategies for new and existing product offerings in the LAC region.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with internal technical teams, regional market-facing teams, and customers to identify needs, shape the regional approach, and drive alignment.
  4. Develop and Maintain a Strong Leadership Position: Develop and maintain a strong leadership position on regional market landscape, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
  5. Engage with Customers and Market Participants: Engage with customers and market participants to enable and scale our switching capabilities and drive the rollout of new product offerings.
  6. Develop Go-to-Market Strategies: Develop go-to-market strategies, identifying target or pilot regions or customers, driving customer engagement and communications, proposing any pricing or economic impact, and working with internal delivery teams to ensure successful rollout.
  7. Own the Regional P&L: Own the regional P&L and lead commercialization strategies for the region to enable rollout, scaling, and monetization of new product offerings.
  8. Be the Spokesperson for the Core Network: Be the spokesperson for the core network in the region, drive proactive internal and external communications to highlight Mastercard's competitive differentiation.
  9. Provide Input into Global Product Development: Provide input into and influence the global product development and prioritization based on regional needs and priorities.
  10. Support Ongoing Product Management: Support ongoing product management for existing products.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled professional with a strong background in payments, including technical knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payments industry value chain dynamics and be willing to dive deep and learn about our technology, system structure, and rules.

  • Prior Experience in Payments: Prior experience in payments, including technical knowledge, is required.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Self-Starter and Quick Learner: The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to Thrive in Fast-Paced Environments: Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and flexibility to handle rapidly changing scenarios.
  • Ability to Work with Ambiguity: Ability to work with ambiguity and manage complex projects; successfully manage multiple responsibilities and tasks.

  • Strong Collaborator: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Language Skills: English and Portuguese are required, with Spanish being desirable.
