Global Trade Specialist Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the import process from start to finish. This includes managing relationships with international suppliers and carriers, monitoring cargo during local transportation, and resolving any issues that may arise due to delays, damages, or non-conformities in the logistics chain.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Foster effective communication with international suppliers and carriers to align shipping deadlines and conditions
  • Manage and oversee cargo throughout local transportation (Door to CFS)
  • Track and analyze logistics performance indicators to ensure seamless operations
  • Resolve problems related to delays, damages, and non-conformities in the logistics process

In addition to these key responsibilities, you will also need to provide accurate and timely cargo information to customers, update internal systems, and generate detailed reports on import activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in International Trade or a related field is required
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role is necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and freight/logistics optimization is crucial
  • Superb planning, time management, collaboration, decision-making, organization, and presentation skills are required
