Principal Software Development Engineer in Test

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SDET to spearhead end-to-end testing initiatives for medium-complexity features within their specialized technical domain. This role requires minimal guidance from more seasoned engineers and involves designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining test automation features of medium complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Improve Test Automation Frameworks: Develop and enhance test automation frameworks, scripts, and tools to boost coverage and efficiency.
- Debug Complex Issues: Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor junior SDETs in best practices.
- Lead Test Planning: Plan comprehensive coverage (manual + automated) for squad deliverables.
- Own End-to-End Testing Lifecycle: Manage the testing lifecycle (development → production → fixes) for assigned stories.
- Automate Repetitive Tasks: Enhance squad productivity by automating repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with engineers, designers, and QEs to refine acceptance criteria and implementation.
- Conduct Code Reviews and Document Features: Review code, document features, and uphold engineering standards.
Qualifications:
- 5+ Years of Experience: Hold 5+ years of experience in SDET/test automation roles with advanced expertise in programming languages (Python/Java/JS or similar), CI/CD pipelines, test frameworks (Selenium, Appium, etc.), Agile/BDD methodologies, performance monitoring, UAT, and release testing.
- Strong CS Fundamentals: Possess strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, design patterns).
- Proven Ability to Debug and Optimize Tests: Demonstrate proven ability to debug, optimize tests, and reduce manual effort.
- Experience Leading Test Case Design and Planning: Lead test case design, planning, and peer reviews.
This job opportunity is only available in São Paulo, Brazil. It is a hybrid work position.
