Regional Virtual Card Lead – SME

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Regional Virtual Card Lead to partner with Mastercard stakeholders, banks, acquirers, fintech, and other service providers to drive go-to-market opportunities for virtual card spend and distribution.

The successful candidate will develop and execute a regional strategy for virtual card numbers (VCNs) and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) solutions, including defining possible partnership frameworks, assessing global partners, and accelerating efforts to drive incremental B2B volumes across regions.

In addition, they will provide trends, insights, and changes to the SME landscape to support our segment strategy in both physical and virtual card spend, collaborate with global SME segment product management and development teams on ensuring SME products and solutions meet the needs of SMEs and non-bank distribution partners, and support regional product and sales teams in customer and partner-facing conversations on card controls, virtual cards, and tokenization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a regional strategy for VCNs and SME solutions.
  • Define possible partnership frameworks, assess global partners, and accelerate efforts to drive incremental B2B volumes across regions.
  • Provide trends, insights, and changes to the SME landscape to support our segment strategy in both physical and virtual card spend.
  • Collaborate with global SME segment product management and development teams on ensuring SME products and solutions meet the needs of SMEs and non-bank distribution partners.
  • Support regional product and sales teams in customer and partner-facing conversations on card controls, virtual cards, and tokenization.
Requirements:
  • Able to navigate technical and business-oriented conversations.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience creating training materials, product guides, etc.
  • Familiarity with technical specifications, API, Batch.
  • Understanding of the competitive offerings and industry trends; international market knowledge/experience.
  • Strong B2B and embedded payments experience and understanding of SME B2B flows.
  • Able to work independently and with minimal guidance.
  • Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and creative, able to adapt to evolving responsibilities.
  • Ability to storyboard and develop visually compelling presentations.
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
