Chief Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

As a member of our OpenStack Engineering team, you will be responsible for building Charmed OpenStack and Ceph, a suite of Python-based charms for deploying and managing OpenStack and Ceph.
This role involves working with cloud platform technologies to bring them to a wide range of users and computing environments, from desktops to bare metal servers. You will need to have a passion for automating infrastructure as code and experience with Python.
Collaboration is key in this position, and you will work proactively with a distributed team to write high-quality code, debug issues, and produce code to fix them. Code reviews are also an essential part of the job.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field, experience with Python, and interest and experience with two or more of the following: Ubuntu Linux, kernel or userspace, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, AI/ML, QEMU/KVM, LXC/LXD, Python, Go, C, Postgresql, Mongo, Debian packaging, scalable web services.
International travel may be required several times a year, usually for one week at a time. We are looking for someone who loves technology, is curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable.
