Job Summary

Rocket Software is seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to support Account Executives in new and existing partner relationships. This role will focus on growing revenue opportunities while providing technical sales leadership on software opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relate to customer challenges and provide clear, non-technical value-based solutions.
  • Present solutions to customers and partners with or without sales support.
  • Support partners in all aspects of the sales process.
  • Convey technical details to a non-technical audience and foster credibility with more technical audiences.
  • Qualify business opportunities by understanding user requirements and technical environments.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and guidance on software components, design techniques, methodology, and delivery concepts to partners and peers.
  • Handle objections professionally, answer questions quickly, and deal with challenges assertively and persuasively.
  • Self-manage assignments and administrative tasks, managing multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8+ years of relevant sales engineering experience.
  • AMC Enterprise Software and/or Mainframe Modernization experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and requirements gathering skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and comfortable taking on a variety of tasks to satisfy business requirements.
  • Detail-oriented and able to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and engage team support as required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet defined deadlines.
