As a seasoned professional in the logistics industry, you will have the opportunity to excel in this critical role. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the entire over-the-road (OTR) shipment process from load booking to final delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, providing regular shipment updates and addressing any service issues that may arise.
  • SOURCE AND SECURE CAPACITY WITH CARRIERS, negotiating competitive rates and maintaining strong relationships with transportation providers.
  • Prepare and send accurate rate quotes to customers based on market conditions and shipment requirements.
  • Monitor shipments daily, proactively addressing delays or service exceptions to minimize their impact.
  • Update transportation management systems (TMS) with shipment details, documentation, and status updates to ensure seamless coordination and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and billing teams to ensure smooth coordination and accurate invoicing.
  • Evaluate carrier performance and provide feedback to maintain service standards and identify opportunities for improvement.

This role requires a proven track record in OTR logistics or freight brokerage, along with knowledge of expedited shipments and equipment types. Proficiency with load boards such as Sylectus and DAT is also essential. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with both carriers and customers are crucial for success in this role.
