As a Solution Train Engineer, you are the orchestral conductor of multiple Value Creation Teams (VCTs), suppliers, and stakeholders—both inside and outside TRATON R&D—to ensure efficient, predictable, and value-driven delivery of complex solutions.

About the Role

This full-time/permanent position within the global matrix organisation will see you working in close partnership with:

  • Functional Reporting: David Holmgren, Head of EE Application Area.
  • Solution Manager – Owns the strategic roadmap, backlog, and business prioritisation.
  • Solution Architect – Defines the technical vision and architectural direction.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in product development or project management, ideally in a scaled agile environment. They must also possess experience working in complex, cross-functional, and international environments, preferably in the automotive or mobility sector.

The role requires strong leadership skills, including experience in leading leaders, and a deep understanding of managing development based on TRATON One PDP, or similar development methodologies. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, with Swedish/German being a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the VCF's large solution delivery across VCTs and within adjacent VCFs in TRATON R&D lean agile landscape and secure synchronisation.
  2. Conduct solution backlog preparation and PI inflight in close collaboration with the Solution Manager.
  3. Plan, conduct, and facilitate PI Plannings and other key VCF events.
  4. Plan and track the work and capacity in the VCF together with the Release Train Engineers.
  5. Identify and remove impediments, manage risks and dependencies within the VCF and connected initiatives and projects.
  6. Track and monitor flow status and KPIs (e.g., PI predictability, feature throughput, quality, capacity, delivery).
  7. Act as a Lean-Agile leader and coach for the RTE community and other stakeholders.
  8. Foster a shared understanding, team spirit, and collaboration across diverse cultures, sites, and organisational setups.
  9. Align with all TRATON brands to ensure their requirements, timelines, and priorities fit the overall strategy.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in product development or project management, ideally in a scaled agile environment.
  • Experience working in complex, cross-functional, and international environments, preferably in the automotive or mobility sector.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including experience in leading leaders.
  • Passion for people & team development combined with excellent leadership skills.
  • Deep understanding of managing development based on TRATON One PDP, or similar development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel.
