Senior Regulatory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Regulatory Specialist to lead client-facing initiatives and refine our content. As the Sovos Point of Contact, you will work with Sales and Professional Services teams on documentation and pricing. You will also interact with customers and prospects directly and support departmental initiatives.

The Role:
  • Develop an understanding of Sovos's role in simplifying regulatory compliance for clients
  • Serve as the Sovos Point of Contact for requirements, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Analyze and interpret technical notes related to electronic tax documents
  • Monitor Tax Reform developments and their impact on technology supporting new tax models
  • Build proficiency with internal tools for maintaining system content and content management
  • Read, interpret, and understand regulations
  • Undertake assigned regulatory tracking and research assignments
  • Draft accurate and well-reasoned responses to client inquiries
Requirements:
  • Typically 4-5 years' experience in a similar type of role
  • Earned reputation as a leader and subject matter expert
  • Sustained commitment to organizational purpose and strategy
  • Expert proficiency in regulatory research and content management
  • Effective mentor and department leader
  • Ability to independently interact with customers and prospects
  • Ability to provide subject matter leadership to the Sovos organization
  • Sufficient expertise to play a leading role in departmental initiatives
  • Effective mentor/teacher/reviewer within the department
  • Deep understanding of Sovos processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to see the big picture and apply this understanding to set priorities
  • Exemplary demonstration of core values
  • Working knowledge of internet integration standards
  • Advanced English communication skills
