Market Compliance Professional

This is a high-profile role within our organisation, where you will play a key part in ensuring we remain compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements. The Market Compliance Officer (MCO) reports to the Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for leading on market compliance across multiple regions.

The MCO works closely with senior stakeholders to develop effective compliance strategies, providing guidance on regulatory requirements and ensuring that all business activities are conducted in accordance with these guidelines. This includes collaborating with internal teams to implement new policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and developing control measures to mitigate potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading on market compliance initiatives across multiple regions, working closely with senior stakeholders to develop effective compliance strategies.
  • Providing expert guidance on regulatory requirements to ensure that all business activities are conducted in accordance with these guidelines.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to implement new policies and procedures, ensuring that they are effective and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and developing control measures to mitigate these risks.
Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge of financial services and payments regulatory environments, including anti-money laundering programs, corporate governance, regulatory reporting obligations, consumer protection and privacy.
  • At least 10 years of experience in demonstrating leadership in building complex compliance programs.
  • Ability to communicate complex compliance matters clearly and succinctly to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
