This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a skilled Embedded Software Test Engineer.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional who can develop and execute embedded software tests for sprayers, both in the lab and in the field. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical and mechatronic systems, data acquisition and analysis tools, and the ability to diagnose failures.

  • Develop comprehensive software test plans, determine critical software features, and perform thorough field and lab tests;
  • Execute or review/approve test specification/test cases for software performance validation;
  • Establish and track software test metrics (requirements to test case coverage, test case data, test results, bugs found, bugs escaped, etc.);
  • Lead efforts for software test process improvements within the company.

The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate technical information effectively, and travel frequently to Europe and the U.S. as required.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Designing, developing, testing, or integrating products that were successfully delivered to production, especially electrical and mechatronic systems;
  • Proficiency in the use of test lab equipment, data acquisition, and data analysis tools;
  • Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical/software/mechanical issues;
  • Working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams;
  • Communicating technical data and project information effectively;
  • Traveling to test sites and customer sites as required to support software testing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience designing, developing, testing, or integrating products that were successfully delivered to production, especially electrical and mechatronic systems;
  • Proficiency in the use of test lab equipment, data acquisition, and data analysis tools;
  • Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical/software/mechanical issues;
  • Strong technical communication skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams;
  • Able and willing to be flexible in work schedule and travel at least 50% internationally to Europe and U.S. to support software testing.
Preferred Skills

We are looking for candidates with experience in:

  • Test plan design and test execution;
  • Test automation tools and environments;
  • On-machine testing at test sites or customer sites;
  • Software development experience;
  • J1939 CAN protocol or CAN tools used for logging and analysis of vehicle networks;
  • Data analysis tools and techniques.
