Job Title: Senior Warehouse Supervisor

The role of the Warehouse Supervisor is pivotal in overseeing the logistics and transportation operations within the Middle Mile segment of the supply chain. This position entails managing the movement of goods between distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and other key locations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

  • This involves developing and implementing strategies to optimize Middle Mile supply chain operations.
  • It requires coordination with carriers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods, as well as monitoring transportation costs, performance metrics, and KPIs to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams including warehouse operations, procurement, and inventory management is essential for streamlining operations.
  • Transportation routes, modes of transport, and delivery schedules must be analyzed to improve service levels and reduce lead times.
  • Audit opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in Middle Mile logistics operations.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Middle Mile logistics specialists and coordinators.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation operations, with a focus on the Middle Mile segment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, transportation regulations, and market trends in Middle Mile logistics.
  • Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., CSCMP, APICS) is a plus.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is desirable.
