Logistics and Supply Chain Operations Manager

The Logistics and Supply Chain Operations Manager oversees logistics and transportation operations involving the Middle Mile supply chain segment. This role involves managing goods movement between distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and other key locations to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategies to optimize Middle Mile supply chain operations by analyzing data and implementing process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including warehouse operations, procurement, and inventory management, to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Manage transportation routes, modes of transport, and delivery schedules to improve service levels and reduce lead times.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in Middle Mile logistics operations.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics specialists and coordinators.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation operations, with a focus on the Middle Mile segment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, transportation regulations, and market trends in Middle Mile logistics.
  • Certification in supply chain management or logistics is a plus.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
