As an Area Manager - Outbound and Delivery, you play a crucial role in our complex and fast-paced logistics network, combining responsibilities across operations. You will lead a diverse team of associates, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement in outbound and delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop a team of warehouse associates and delivery personnel
- Oversee performance, provide training, and address team member needs
- Collaborate with other Area Managers to balance labor and ensure efficient operations
- Review work forecasts and set productivity targets to meet overall objectives
- Oversee the outbound process from order fulfillment to last-mile delivery preparation
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as On-Time Dispatch and First Day Delivery Success
- Implement and support all safety programs and ensure compliance
- Maintain a safe work environment for all associates in operational areas
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives using lean tools
- Develop practical solutions to complex problems without compromising quality
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations
- Communicate daily metrics and report exceptions to relevant departments
- Embrace and lead change in a fast-paced environment
- Support the implementation of new systems and processes in operations
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Employee and performance management experience
- Performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience
