Senior Accountant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee finance operations in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

  • Validate Accounts Payable sub-ledger journals for posting to General Ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinate the issuing and timely posting of customer invoices while verifying accuracy.
  • Supervise daily payroll routine and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Review and analyze monthly payroll costs, including taxes, withholding, vacation accruals, 13th salary accruals, and benefits.
  • Support preparation and reconciliation of taxable basis of all taxes and contributions.
  • Contribute to tax filing and statutory book-keeping processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an accountant.
  • Advanced analytical and information gathering skills.
  • Knowledge of BRGAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Familiarity with Brazilian tax legislations.
  • Leadership, goal-setting, and planning capabilities.

Education:

  • Accounting or Finance degree is essential.
  • Master's degree in taxation is desirable.
