Electrical Harness Specialist

As an Electrical Harness Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical harnesses for trains and other mobility solutions.

  • Responsible for taking into account key performance indicators, industry standards, and contractual requirements in deliverables
  • Must realize deliverables by respecting quality, cost, delivery, and defect-free quality principles
  • Integrate linked competencies: advanced industrialization, electrical design, electromagnetic compatibility, and maintainability
  • Manage activities using retro planning of projects
  • Create 3D models (routing) of each harness in collaboration with mechanical designers, manufacturing engineers, and system architects
  • Responsible for detailed electrical harness design deliverables: bill of materials, formboards, bill of materials in ERP & DMA, wiring lists, plug maps, instruction sheets, jig & tools lists
  • Ensure timely launch of prototypes and good storage after official release
  • Organize and pilot harness design deliverables reviews
  • Pilot NEO review (detailed phase) and participate in NEO DR managed by system architects
  • Guarantee use of standardized templates
  • Ensure deliverables updates in case of modifications (harness suppliers, internal or third-party manufacturing)
  • Answer frequently asked questions and solve identified issues
  • Manage gaps to realize retrofitting harnesses
  • Create or participate in updates of knowledge guidelines, transversal documents responsible for electrical domains (operator manuals, connectors mounting manuals...)
  • Ensure terminal ends and cabling expertise of products/projects
  • Innovate, anticipate, and contribute to improvement axes for electrical harness design with skill leaders: standard métier updates, informatic tool optimizations (ESPVI BIS, NEO), electrical domain improvements (CATIA Electrical, FAO, SEE ONE)
