About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Substations Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and constructing high/medium voltage electrical substations, ensuring that all work is carried out according to Country Electrical Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preliminary surveys of the site of Substation and Electric Lines construction
  • Obtaining formalities such as permits and clearances from Government Electrical Regulator entities
  • Ensuring that all electrical permits and Government requirements are accomplished where applicable
  • Maintaining project documentation in order and within the appropriate repository
  • Participating in Substation project planning and providing inputs regarding implementation
  • Coordinating with DC construction coordinators to ensure alignment between DC construction and Substation construction
  • Communicating with Substation GC subcontractors to ensure project progress
  • Managing Substation designers, architects, and suppliers to ensure construction is on schedule and meets quality requirements
  • Overseeing the process of electrical Substation turnover to CFE
  • Acting as Quality Control Supervisor for Substation and transmission Lines
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degrees and/or professional licenses in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • 3+ years of experience in Substation and electrical transmission lines standards and practices
