Job Description

As a Senior Database Consultant, you will play a key role in designing and implementing database solutions that drive business growth. You will work closely with our product centre groups and cloud operations team to build secure and robust databases for all our customers.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in analysing, assessing, developing and evaluating database solutions and architectures hosting multiple customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AWS and Azure Database design and implementation.
  • Recommending solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
  • Maintaining database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters, implementing new releases, completing maintenance requirements, evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
  • Preparing users by conducting training, providing information, resolving problems.
  • Providing information by answering questions and requests.
  • Sustaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, participating in professional societies.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Developing standards, policies and procedures as well as best practices documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
  • Previous experience with Public, Private and Hybrid cloud Database technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux OS.
  • Database Performance Tuning, Database Security, Promoting Process Improvement, Problem Solving, Presenting Technical Information, Quality Focus, Database Management, Data Maintenance, Operating Systems, Information Security Policies.
  • Working experience as a Database administrator.
