Senior Supply Chain Logistics Professional

The Regional Cargo Sourcing Manager is accountable for the transport project budgeting for General Cargo (G/C), ensuring availability of the transport requirements in line with business needs.

He/She manages the strategic sourcing process, including the CAT CIPS Strategy development and execution.

The G/C Sourcing Manager Region is responsible for supplier base management, ensuring proper performance in alignment with targets, and supporting the resolution of potential claims or disputes with suppliers.

1. Conduct transport requirement analysis based on weight and dimensions, checking suitable frame agreements and previous shipments as reference freight for benchmark of must-win general cargo RFIs.
2. Manage analytics by conducting SCMIS reporting, assessing internal cost developments against external price developments based on high-level market information, and supporting market intelligence report creation by providing input and content validation.
3. Establish CAT CIPS Strategy proposal for general cargo per sub-category and/or supplier, based on in-depth assessment of suppliers, stakeholders, market, category analysis, plan, implement, and monitor KPIs of CAT CIPS Execution for general cargo.
4. Within the supplier performance measurement process, confirm and identify need for adjustment and commercial actions in case non-compliance with improvement targets.
5. Consult on alternative solutions and supplier change risk, prepare alternative plans for upcoming deliveries, ensure internal communication flow and potential re-allocation of volumes, and de-sourcing process.
6. Review and manage supplier performance evaluation, including reflection of classification strategy and supplier communication, manage and own supplier classification process, including assessment, maintenance in SAP Ariba.
7. Drive awareness, act as change-agent, support the successful rollout and seamless implementation of new projects, tools, processes, proactively engage with interfacing functions to assess and align on potential impact due to changes within organization and operating procedures.
8. Train, support, and coach the organization on new initiatives and projects, facilitate stakeholder engagements to educate business units on the level and magnitude of change, and build their desire to support the change.
9. Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect subordinates following HR policies, coordinate talent management and succession planning within the assigned area.
10. Lead by example, coach and mentor staff, support individuals to succeed and develop, identify and assess opportunities for individual training needs and career development, manage cascaded initiatives, and ensure directives are always adhered to organization's strategy.
11. Communicate and drive the implementation of the organization's strategy within the organization in close alignment and collaboration with interfacing functions.
