About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Open Source Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of security vulnerabilities and techniques for fixing them.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze, fix, and test vulnerabilities in open source packages
  • Collaborate with other teams to exchange or develop vulnerability patches and ensure that our platform includes robust security features
  • Audit source code for vulnerabilities
  • Build features and tools to strengthen the security of our products
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of common categories of security vulnerabilities
  • Familiarity with coordinated disclosure practices
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the team and community members
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
  • Diversity of perspectives and experience
