Job Title: Field Applications Specialist - Latin America

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Applications Specialist to join our team in Latin America. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for delivering expert technical support to customers and driving business growth.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training programs and seminars to external customers to increase awareness of our products and services.
  • Provide proactive consulting to customers on workflow improvements and influence key opinion leaders.
  • Lead troubleshooting on issues related to end-user's technical skills, cell line, media and feed selection and optimization, experiment design and interpretation of results for media development/optimization process.
  • Mentor junior FAS on effective delivery of presentations and coaching others on technical skills.
  • Participate in key industry conferences, gather knowledge and bring back to team, develop leads for commercial team and deliver oral/poster presentations.
  • Use market and product knowledge to assist Commercial Teams in developing sales, marketing and customer account sales strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering) or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in within the Biotech, Biologics, Life Sciences, and/or Biopharmaceutical industries in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing capacity.
  • Advanced experience with optimization and troubleshooting bioreactor parameters, process scale-up and optimization, and lead in development of experiment design and analyzing and interpreting results of media development/optimization process.
Travel Requirements:
  • Approximately 50% travel within Latin & South America; international travel may be required.

Spanish and/or Portuguese and English language skills are required. Media and feed selection and optimization in upstream process development, cell-line selection in upstream process development, and advanced experience with optimization and troubleshooting bioreactor parameters are also essential.
