The Opportunity

We're seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in building Fuel iX, a cutting-edge AI platform that empowers enterprises to manage and accelerate AI-fueled intelligent experiences. As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing and evolving our industry-leading AI engine, ensuring it delivers flexibility, control, productivity, and trust to our global clients.

Location and Flexibility

This is a hybrid role, requiring the ability to work from one of our offices in São Paulo (2 times/week or 8 days/month) or Porto Alegre (3 times/week or 12 days/month). Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members local and visiting from other global offices.

Qualifications

  • You're driven by curiosity and enthusiastic about learning new technologies.
  • You believe in autonomy and taking initiative.
  • You have professional engineering experience, with at least 5 years building digital products and 2 years leading a team.
  • You've managed a team of software engineers building digital products and been responsible for growing the people on the team through goal-setting, coaching, and feedback.
  • You're comfortable having difficult conversations and always have your clients' and teammates' best interests in mind.
  • You have familiarity with CI/CD, Agile techniques for managing work, pairing, mobbing, and shift-left testing.
  • You've owned the delivery of a complete digital product, with code that is durable, secure, scalable, and thoroughly tested.
  • You can simplify and communicate about complex problems around technology, business processes, user experience, and development tasks.
  • You have worked on AI product development or have knowledge on AI development best practices.
