ROLE PURPOSE:
The Offshore Construction Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting Project Engineers and Project Managers in both onshore and offshore construction operations.

ROLE CONTRIBUTION:

  • Assist in the development and preparation of construction execution strategies for medium to large-scale projects and shutdown campaigns.
  • Contribute to the creation of scope of work documents for site subcontracting.
  • Ensure that all constructability issues are addressed by the project, maintenance, shutdown, and construction teams.
  • Review client contract specifications and prepare project-specific construction specifications, including fabrication and piping specifications.
  • Ensure that all relevant Quality Assurance (QA) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols are understood, implemented, and adhered to by all construction personnel under their supervision.
  • Be accountable for the quality and safety performance of all construction staff under their authority.
  • Establish and/or review construction procedures and planning inputs for the project segment under their oversight.
  • Contribute to or supervise the preparation of onshore/offshore installation work packages and job cards, depending on project size.
  • Plan and assess work progress, evaluate situations, and initiate corrective measures as necessary.
  • Generate and distribute weekly progress reports or as agreed with the project team.
  • Provide guidance and support to construction personnel under their supervision.
  • Identify training and development needs for construction supervisors and communicate these to the Construction Manager as appropriate.
  • Analyze and compile a comprehensive list of all necessary tools and consumables required for offshore operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Engineering or Materials Science.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and/or project management within the offshore sector, with a focus on FPSO/FSO floating production vessels.
  • Preferably possess a mechanical or structural engineering background.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
