ROLE PURPOSE

The Telecommunications Engineer with expertise in maritime systems is tasked with the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of communication systems aboard maritime vessels, including boats, cruises, and ships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Satellite Communication and Navigation Systems: Configure and uphold satellite communication systems to guarantee dependable connectivity while at sea. Oversee maritime navigation systems, which encompass GPS, radar, and other positioning technologies. Radio Communication Systems: Establish and sustain radio systems for both internal and external communications on board. Ensure compliance of radio systems with maritime regulations and standards. Documentation and Collaboration: Develop and analyze technical documentation for field personnel. Work in conjunction with regulatory, field, and onboard teams to ensure optimal system performance. Provide necessary information for audits and reports as required. Field Experience and Oversight: Possess practical field experience, recognizing the unique challenges and requirements of maritime vessels. Oversee telecommunications systems from the office, coordinating with field and regulatory teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Technical, technologist, or engineering background in telecommunications. Fluency in English. Extensive experience in the field. Comprehensive knowledge of radio, radar, GPS, and onboard notification systems.
