Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven WordPress Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in the design, development, and upkeep of our websites, landing pages, and web applications.

You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to create visually engaging and user-friendly websites that align with our business objectives. A solid understanding of both front-end and back-end development, along with a strong design sensibility and a commitment to staying current with web development trends, is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain WordPress-based websites and applications, ensuring they are responsive and perform optimally across different browsers.
  • Modify and enhance existing themes and plugins to fulfill project specifications, or create custom themes and plugins from the ground up as needed.
  • Implement innovative front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies, prioritizing user experience and design quality.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, develop custom functionalities, and manage databases to improve the overall functionality and user engagement of the websites.
  • Diagnose and fix technical issues, bugs, and compatibility challenges that may arise during development and maintenance.
  • Enhance website speed, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to translate their requirements into functional and visually appealing web solutions.
  • Stay informed about the latest security practices, ensuring all websites are secure by implementing necessary measures and keeping software updated.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a Web/WordPress Engineer.
  • Experience in developing WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Knowledge of WordPress REST API, Advanced Custom Fields, Custom Post management, and CRON events.
  • Proficiency in Elementor, PHP, HTML, CSS, API, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with WooCommerce and WooCommerce subscriptions.
  • Comfortable managing web servers, SQL databases, domain/DNS configurations, and Cloudflare settings.
  • Familiarity with responsive design principles.
  • Strong grasp of UI/UX design principles.
  • Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles to engage with other teams, developers, and organizations.
