About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our educational support team. As an AmeriCorps member, you will play a vital role in providing academic support to rural pre-school to 12th grade students.

Your mission will be to provide each student with well-defined instructional programs, diversified extracurricular activities, and opportunities for academic growth.

You will serve in Butler County Schools, assisting teachers and students from 1-2 hours daily, supporting up to 15 students per member. Service sites will receive training and technical assistance to ensure program success.

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day for an AmeriCorps member begins at 7:00 am and involves rotating between 2-8 classrooms daily. You will assist with tutoring, homework assistance, and early intervention based on individual student needs.

Members will also participate in community organizations and events, fostering relationships with local stakeholders and promoting the AmeriCorps program.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must be at least 17 years old and possess some college education level.

Your ability to work effectively with diverse populations, think creatively, and adapt to changing situations will be essential in achieving the program's goals.
