Senior Water Engineer Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Water Engineer to join our team in Bethlehem, PA (hybrid). The ideal candidate will have expertise in industrial wastewater treatment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for improving treatment processes and equipment efficiency.
  • Conduct wastewater treatment process calculations and collaborate on process modeling to ensure proper sizing and configuration of treatment systems.
  • Develop designs for treatment system improvements, including equipment, pumps, piping, tanks, chemical feed systems, and monitoring control systems in collaboration with technical experts and other design disciplines.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; prepare and submit permit applications as necessary.
  • Collaborate on construction-related activities, including reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to requests for information, preparing request for proposals, tracking project progress, reviewing contractor pay applications, and advising on discrepancies and changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer License required (Pennsylvania license preferred).
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience in water and/or wastewater disciplines.
  • Knowledge of local, state, regional, and federal regulations related to water and wastewater.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong problem-solving and operational skills.
