Job Description

The role of the Digital Workplace and Collaboration Services Manager is to oversee the operational stability and availability of the digital workplace strategy. This includes remote workplace solutions, virtualization, collaboration services, email, presence, instant messaging, web conferencing, and audio/video conferencing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and Maintaining DW&CS Standards: Developing and maintaining DW&CS standards that meet client needs and utilize industry best practices and standards.
  • Technology Assessment and Planning: Understanding technology changes in MS365 and assessing their impact on the organization to prepare and react in a timely manner.
  • Steering Committee Coordination: Coordinating digital workplace steering committee meetings with business leaders to facilitate decisions in the DW&CS space.
  • Business-Aligned Reporting: Developing transparent business-aligned reporting on all DW&CS services.
  • Disaster Recovery Solutions: Working with other IT departments to develop comprehensive DW&CS related disaster recovery solutions and DR/BC support services.
Strategic Planning
  • Annual Plan Development: Participating in the development and delivery of the Annual Plan for DW&CS, ensuring adjustments in overall IT strategy are incorporated into the annual planning cycle.
  • MS365 Strategy Implementation: Accountable for the implementation of the MS365 development strategy.
Vendor Relationship Management
  • Service Level Management: Working with vendors to ensure service levels are met and expectations managed while continually improving and maturing partnerships.
  • Vendor Performance Metrics: Utilizing targeted metrics for reporting vendor compliance/performance, leveraging scorecards appropriately.

This position requires strong leadership skills, ability to engage and motivate others, and adaptability to changing business needs.
