Data Center Operations Manager

As a Senior Infrastructure Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our data center's critical physical infrastructure. Your primary goal will be to maintain high availability and performance while ensuring that all work performed within the site is done to a high standard without impacting internal or external customers.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment or 2+ years of Amazon experience in a data center operation. They should also possess strong leadership skills, technical writing abilities, and fluency in Portuguese and English.
You will prioritize tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment and effectively manage the operations budget and expenditures. Engage in improvement projects, often requiring collaboration with various support teams, and drive them from conception to completion. Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience, respond to out-of-hours emergency calls, and act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues.

This role may support multiple locations/sites. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of experience with understanding of electrical or mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, pumps, air handling units and CRAC units. They should also possess experience managing diverse teams, conducting root cause analysis and troubleshooting/problem solving, and reading and understanding schematics and building drawings.
A Day in the LifeManagement of multiple sites and the team of engineers and technicians responsible for maintaining the electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Work in partnership with internal customers and stakeholders. Lead the relationship with colocation providers and work on performance improvement action plans with the AWS Infrastructure Performance Management team, holding colocation providers accountable to the AWS' high performance bar for our customers.
