Database Administrator Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database operations, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, security, and availability of databases within the organization.

The successful candidate will have strategic and operational duties such as data storage, access reliability, and protection against data loss or unauthorized access. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of our database systems.

  • You will install and maintain database server performance to meet business needs.
  • You will implement high availability scenarios, Always On, replication, and knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery.
  • You will develop processes to optimize database security and set and maintain database standards.
  • You will manage database access, perform database performance tuning, and install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
  • You will diagnose and troubleshoot database errors, respond to urgent issues to support terminal operations, identify root causes of outages, and prepare plans for permanent fixes or SOPs.
  • You will recommend and adopt emerging database technologies, create and manage reports, visualizations, dashboards, automate repetitive database tasks, collaborate on N4 migrations and upgrades, document deployment plans, and provide on-call support as needed.
Critical Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • Over three years of experience in database administration or related fields.
  • MCSE/MCSA certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Windows Server environments preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is valuable.
  • Adaptable to different cultures.
  • Willing to travel.
