Strategic Leader Opportunity

Seeking an accomplished and experienced leader to spearhead our Brazil Country Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the office portfolio, translating strategic plans into development initiatives, and fostering partnerships with key stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement country programme strategies in close consultation with government, civil society, and UN system partners.
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on regional strategy, direction, and planning of programmes and projects.
  • Oversee the quality of results-based and rights-based programming, including the annual work plan and budget.
  • Lead monitoring and evaluation efforts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Deliver operational goals, oversee implementation, and provide guidance and technical support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as Social Sciences or International Relations.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in international development, human rights, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and developing effective partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the UN system, its mandates, and priorities.
  • Excellent communication, diplomatic, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, lead change, and manage complexity.
